Day 12 of the 30 Days of Thanks Challenge

We're driving home today. I'm incredibly sad, but, today I'm thankful for the opportunities that I have. I know I complain a lot of what I don't have and sometimes it is so hard to take a step back and look at what you DO have. This week has been amazing and I'm so thankful that I have the opportunity and the means to visit friends, family, and to be able to take a vacation. There are so many people that struggle way more than we do and they are unable to have these luxuries.

Our vacation has been perfect. I've drank more cups of coffee than I care to count, we've bundled up in the cold and we got to go to some new places. Our trip to the aquarium was amazing. Addison had a great time and her and Ella played constantly. We sure will miss them! Downtown Chattanooga was fantastic and we had the opportunity to eat at a restaurant that had the best fish and chips.

  1. I would like to suggest a book to you . . . "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp. It is similar to what you are doing here. When we start counting our blessings life takes on a whole different perspective.

Thank you Olivia. I will be sure to check it out. You are spot on. It is so hard to change the way we think sometimes!
